Holo FX brings innovative Dual Screen Kiosks to the Ontario Science Centre
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEThursday, September 24 2009
Holo FX installed two HoloDual 310 Kiosks at the Ontario Science Centre as part of a marketing program to promote events and attract new subscribers. After one month, the program generated a 250% increase in survey respondents and a 60% increase in mailing list opt-ins.
The HoloDual 310 features a 32” HD upper monitor, 19” touch-sensitive lower monitor, keyboard, stereo sound, proximity sensor and a sleek design which is not only aesthetically appealing, but also ensures stability and ADA comliance. Holo FX designed a custom application which allows visitors to send electronic postcards to their friends. Demographic and survey data is collected by a remote secure server and available to administrators to view online through a web browser. Administrators can track information to see a range of complete up-to-date data analysis of the marketing campaign. The user interface has a flexible back end to allow for changes to surveys and marketing programs.
The innovative design and video catches the attention of visitors which has led to a significant increase in the number of people using the kiosk from previous kiosks installed at the Science Centre. What is incredible is that the cost per qualified lead is in the pennies. While the cost of the kiosk was more than other offerings, the results show that the value of the HoloDual 310 is well worth the investment.
One of the criterion from the Ontario Science Centre is that a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) be conducted to ensure that the data being collected is secure and remains safely stored. Holo FX achieved this by a combination of software, hardware and operating system modifications which has resulted in a bullet proof system.
The marketing kiosks have been a tremendous success from customer acquisition to branding to a robust and secure system.
